Salary
Up to R1 800 000 per annum (depending on experience)
What you'll be doing:
- Partnering with teams and stakeholders to define system requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Developing backend systems using agile practices such as TDD, CI/CD, and pair programming
- Automating infrastructure and deployments to streamline delivery
- Owning what you build and supporting your code in production environments
- Mentoring and collaborating with client teams to improve delivery capabilities
- Advocating for agile principles and helping teams adopt modern technical practices
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience developing, maintaining, and scaling enterprise-level distributed systems
- Deep knowledge of at least one programming language, with the flexibility to move between different stacks
- Enthusiasm for technology and continuous learning
- Hands-on expertise with automated testing, TDD, and quality-driven development
- Strong understanding of agile principles and how to apply them in real-world projects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in distributed/remote teams
- A team-first mindset with the ability to share knowledge, mentor others, and contribute toward collective goals
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience designing distributed systems with microservices and RESTful APIs
- Exposure to large-scale production environments, particularly in containerised or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
